Players should bring a water bottle, shin guards, cleats (if you have them), and a willingness to learn.Swim Camp (1pm-3pm): This portion of camp will be part aquatics instruction and education on swimming techniques and general water safety. Participants additionally have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of pool games and activities.Combo Soccer/Swim (9am-3:00pm): Will participate in both individual camps and enjoy a supervised lunch. Lunch will be provided. The participants will be guided in a group walk to Ocean Beach from Nathan Hale.

Participants will learn essential kitchen safety, proper measuring techniques, mixing methods, and basic baking and decorating skills. Each class includes a complete recipe such as cookies, banana break, cupcakes or a simple candy making project.

"Dad's in the Kitchen" is a hands on culinary arts program designed to empower fathers and father figures through practical cooking education while strengthening family bonds and promoting healthier lifestyles. Led by certified chef James Clanton, the program combines over 20 years of professional culinary experience with a structured yet flexible curriculum that teaches foundational French cuisine techniques, kitchen safety, knife skills, and meal preparation in an engaging, confidence building environment. Participants gain real world skills they can immediately apply at home, while also benefiting from positive role modeling and community connection.

6 wks of camp starting June 29! Come have fun with your friends over the summer!New London Recreation offers summer playground for ages 4-14. Breakfast & lunch are provided, pending meal funding approval. Activities include daily arts and crafts, playing outdoors, learning time, swimming lessons, board games, field trips and group games. NOTE: Week 2 (10-14) or Week 4 (4-9) there is an extra $10 charge for the Great Wolf Lodge Field Trip! Participants will learn essential kitchen safety, proper measuring techniques, mixing methods, and basic baking and decorating skills. Each class includes a complete recipe such as cookies, banana break, cupcakes or a simple candy making project.
 
5:15 PM - 6:15 PM    Surf & Turf with Rachel - Surf & Turf
Surf and Turf is a 60 minute high intensity adult exercise class suitable for all ages. We spend half of the class on the pool deck the other half in the pool. Although the class is cardio intensive it takes a more athletic approach to water fitness! The support of the water helps to protect against injury while also supplying a resistance aspect as you push and pull through the water. Entry into Ocean Beach is free for class*Membership to the Community Center is NOT required. Come experience Tai Chi movement in the water! This gentle water flow class is designed for any fitness level, from beginner to any previous Tai-Chi practice. "Dad's in the Kitchen" is a hands on culinary arts program designed to empower fathers and father figures through practical cooking education while strengthening family bonds and promoting healthier lifestyles. Led by certified chef James Clanton, the program combines over 20 years of professional culinary experience with a structured yet flexible curriculum that teaches foundational French cuisine techniques, kitchen safety, knife skills, and meal preparation in an engaging, confidence building environment. Participants gain real world skills they can immediately apply at home, while also benefiting from positive role modeling and community connection.

NOTE: Week 2 (10-14) or Week 4 (4-9) there is an extra $10 charge for the Great Wolf Lodge Field Trip! Proof of residency is required for New London resident rate. Registration for the following week closes Wednesday (12:00 pm/noon) before each week of camp. Breakfast & lunch are provided, pending meal funding approval. Activities include daily arts and crafts, playing outdoors, learning time, swimming lessons, board games, field trips and group games. NOTE: Week 2 (10-14) or Week 4 (4-9) there is an extra $10 charge for the Great Wolf Lodge Field Trip! Participants will learn essential kitchen safety, proper measuring techniques, mixing methods, and basic baking and decorating skills. Each class includes a complete recipe such as cookies, banana break, cupcakes or a simple candy making project.
 
5:15 PM - 6:15 PM    Surf & Turf with Rachel - Surf & Turf
Surf and Turf is a 60 minute high intensity adult exercise class suitable for all ages. We spend half of the class on the pool deck the other half in the pool. Although the class is cardio intensive it takes a more athletic approach to water fitness! The support of the water helps to protect against injury while also supplying a resistance aspect as you push and pull through the water. Entry into Ocean Beach is free for class*Membership to the Community Center is NOT required. Registration for NL Rec programs will be the same as in the past.
 
6:00 PM - 6:50 PM    Aqua Tai Chi - Aqua Tai Chi
Come experience Tai Chi movement in the water! This gentle water flow class is designed for any fitness level, from beginner to any previous Tai-Chi practice. Class includes warm up, qi- gong, general flow movement series, cardio-zen opportunities, and floating relaxation.*Membership to the Community Center is NOT required. "Dad's in the Kitchen" is a hands on culinary arts program designed to empower fathers and father figures through practical cooking education while strengthening family bonds and promoting healthier lifestyles. Led by certified chef James Clanton, the program combines over 20 years of professional culinary experience with a structured yet flexible curriculum that teaches foundational French cuisine techniques, kitchen safety, knife skills, and meal preparation in an engaging, confidence building environment. Participants gain real world skills they can immediately apply at home, while also benefiting from positive role modeling and community connection.

Parents must be in the water with their child for all Pre-school Aquatics Levels. These are designed to teach participants water safety as well as swimming skills that will help them to excel in our Level 1 Youth swimming lessons. Pre-school Aquatics Level 1:Orients children to the Aquatic Environment and teaches them the basic aquatic skillsPre-school Aquatics Level 2:Build on and improve skills learned in Preschool Aquatics Level 1. NOTE: Week 2 (10-14) or Week 4 (4-9) there is an extra $10 charge for the Great Wolf Lodge Field Trip! Proof of residency is required for New London resident rate. Registration for the following week closes Wednesday (12:00 pm/noon) before each week of camp. Participants will learn essential kitchen safety, proper measuring techniques, mixing methods, and basic baking and decorating skills. Each class includes a complete recipe such as cookies, banana break, cupcakes or a simple candy making project.
 
5:15 PM - 6:15 PM    Surf & Turf with Rachel - Surf & Turf
Surf and Turf is a 60 minute high intensity adult exercise class suitable for all ages. We spend half of the class on the pool deck the other half in the pool. Although the class is cardio intensive it takes a more athletic approach to water fitness! The support of the water helps to protect against injury while also supplying a resistance aspect as you push and pull through the water. Entry into Ocean Beach is free for class*Membership to the Community Center is NOT required. Registration for NL Rec programs will be the same as in the past.
 
6:00 PM - 6:50 PM    Aqua Tai Chi - Aqua Tai Chi
Come experience Tai Chi movement in the water! This gentle water flow class is designed for any fitness level, from beginner to any previous Tai-Chi practice. Class includes warm up, qi- gong, general flow movement series, cardio-zen opportunities, and floating relaxation.*Membership to the Community Center is NOT required.
